Today we welcomed Mrs. Dohrman into our class!  We are glad you are here!

During Jesus time we practiced singing our song for when we sing in church April 29th. :)

During small group time we practiced subitizing and counting with one to one correspondence with Mrs. Dohrman.

Independently, the friends made milk carton bird houses.

I worked with the kids one on one to increase phonemic awareness skills.  While they waited for me, the friends worked collaboratively on a puzzle.

Free choice time

The friends made a duck with the blocks!

Block bird nests

Looking for birds

"A red-winged black bird!"

We made a new chart for bird tracking!

We love to paint!

Look at our creations!

"I'm making stinky eggs!"

We love to be silly in pre-k.  :)

The friends are learning to help clean up their own messes.  This increases responsibility!

Second free choice

Observing birds

"I think one of the cups is missing."

The friend worked to order the cups 1-10 to figure out which cup is missing.  The friends are learning to put the skills we learn to practice!

Working together in the blocks

Creation station work

During small group time we danced in one group.

We practiced focusing as we completed an observational drawing of an Easter lily.

With me, the friends helped sound out words and paint letters for our Week of the Young Child poster.
