After our morning routines we played a silly game called Wiggle Worm!  The friends choose an item from the bag and identify it.  If they choose a worm, they shout "WIGGLE WORM!" and all of the friends stand up and jump and wiggle until the friend says "Here comes the bird!"  At this point the friends sit as quickly as possible.  This is a fun way to review numbers, shapes, and letters while also being able to move and wiggle!

Qe then went to the gym!

Back in the classroom, the friends worked on the bridge.

"Mrs. Douglas do you have books about building?  We need a book about building."

This seemingly small questions shows us so much.  It shows us that our friends know where to find a resource to help them answer their questions!

I pulled out a book about building for the friends.

"We need some tools."

I asked the friends if they could make a list of the tools that they need so I wouldn't forget.

The friends then wen back to work!

After lunch we went back to the gym for a dance party!
The friends (and teachers :) ) had so much fun dancing together!

This morning Pastor Kyle Borcherding led our school devotions!  He shared with us a few different types of clothes that we wear for different occasions.  The bible tells us that we have been clothed in salvation!  We are saved by the death and resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ!

After morning meeting and snack, we headed to the gym!

Back in the classroom we went to work on the bridge.

We also made books!

Some friends made gifts for others too.

This morning Mr. Mark Borcherding led our devotions.  He shared with us that we are all on a team - God's team!  By God's love and grace we can call ourselves children of God!

After our morning routines, we had a dance party!

We then took a short walk out to the pond to explore.

"It is frozen!"

"Where are the geese?"

"Are the fish dead?"

After snack we went to work!

"This is a bridge.  The two sides have to be equal, see?"

"I'm making a book about the pond!"

Working on the bridge

The friends noticed that the bridge kept falling down.  They made a sign to tell others to try not to break the bridge.

"I'm making supper."

The friends were excited to see some new plants in our room.  We discussed how to care for the plants and not touch them.

Sorting the buttons

Matching numbers

After work time, we discussed why the bridge is not working.  The friends shared their ideas of why it is not working as well as some solutions.  We will have to try out some of these solutions!  The friends are using and growing their critical thinking and problem solving skills!
