Happy Friday!

This morning we began our day with prayer and went outside.

What a beautiful fall day!

As we walked to the outdoor classroom, we found a beautiful web!  The dew helped us see all of the beautiful details.

Back in the classroom we sang praise songs to Jesus!

Free choice time

Thank you Mr. Anderson for reading to us in the library today!

During Jesus time this morning we reviewed our verse for the week.

"God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

We learned that God will always forgive us, and He always loves us!

Outside time

Outdoor classroom

The friends are used to our routine!  After snack, before story time, we always take a minute to stretch to some worship songs.  I turned on the music and the friends automatically began stretching.  This is a good example of the importance of routine.  Routine alleviates children's (and adults) anxiety and helps the day run smoothly.

During small group time we continued to explore symmetry with Me. Anderson.

The friends used the write and wipe boards to write words.

We continued to practice patterning too!

Free choice time

The friends created their own game!

Some friends worked on their 3-D rendering of their insect/bug.

Some friends practiced writing words.

Other friends continued to practice patterning by themselves!

Working together in the blocks

Friends worked to label parts of their bugs.

Afternoon free choice

Exploring acorns

Making representations of bugs and insects

Some of the friends played school too.
