Wednesday, September 30

During Jesus time we remembered that Jesus is with us no matter where we go!  No matter what we do, Jesus is always with us and always loves us!

Look how our friends work together to help each other!

We noticed that many leaves are falling down!  We learned a song about the leaves falling down.  Some of the friends gathered some leaves for further inspection.

"This leaf is so soft!"

We love the hill!

Back in the classroom we danced to some of our favorite songs!

I have included the link to one of our favorites HERE.  You can dance at home with your child!

We then went straight to work making prototypes to test in the testing area!

We then discussed things we want to do to celebrate all that we have learned the past few weeks!  Please look for a special email regarding this! :)

Tuesday, September 29

Today we remembered our bible verse for the week: "God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

We sang "Jesus says I'm with you. You're never alone! You're never alone.  Jesus says I'm with you; you're never alone my friend."

Outside time

We then went to the hill!

I have noticed that our friends need some support in how to handle when a friend does something in a play scenario that they don't want.  For example, if a friend chooses to be a dog but another friend wants him to be a cat.  After outside time we took a moment to discuss how to handle that.  A few things we learned is that we are in charge of ourselves only.  We can't control anyone else.

We also learned that if a friend is doing something that you don't like that is not hurting you, you have the choice to walk away.  For example if a friend is pretending to be a dog and it is bothering you, walk away.

We role played with our friend Zippy various scenarios to practice what we learned.  I encourage you to ask your child at home, "What do you do if someone is doing something that you don't like, what can you do?"

We then set to work creating "prototypes" and testing if they could fly.

"Can you make a butterfly?"

Observing the butterflies and moths

Testing it out

After lunch, we explored new items.

We explored pattern blocks

We also practiced writing our names

We then went to check on the caterpillars.

We found what we think to be an empty cocoon!
