Welcome back!  Whether you're pleased or not so pleased about the outcome of the election,  we remember that God is in control. We will continue to pray for our country and the leaders of our country.

Happy Birthday Mrs. Lipsey!!!  We are so thankful that you are in our class!!  We love you!

During chapel Mr. Borcherding and the 8th grade class acted out Ezekiel 37 where God calls dry bones to come alive.  We learned that God's word is powerful!

After chapel we practiced our songs for Sunday.  Please plan to drop off your child in our Pre-K classroom at 10:45.

Outside time

During small group time we practiced writing numbers in play dough.
(We talked about safe usage of the butter knives before writing the numbers.)

With Mrs. Zwettler we practiced comparing sets.  Comparing sets is a foundational math skill.

With me, the friends used the glitter letters to practice feeling letters. The friends closed their eyes, felt the letter, and guessed which letter it is.  Some of the other friends started giving hints, "It makes a SSSS sound."

Second outside time

Look how our glitter alphabet turned out!

Second free choice

Before small group time we practiced responding to music.  If the music was fast, we danced fast.  If it was slow, we danced slow.

During small group time we played a game in which Mrs. Lipsey and I would describe a letters or numbers as we wrote them.   (Mrs. Lipsey did the numbers and I did the letters.)  We hid the letter/number and allowed the children to predict which one it was.  This activity helps the children practice vocalizing the correct formation of the letters/numbers.  It also promotes letter and number recognition.
