It was a wonderful Wednesday in pre-k!

We began our day with worship together.  Mr. Borcherding shared with us how we are both sinner and saint.  We are a sinner because we sin, but because of Jesus death and resurrection we are also saints!

Outside time

We are testing our interest in a veterinary project. (I am collecting information on possible site visitors as well as field trip places.  If you would like to add to our collection of information, please see me.  :) ) During small group time we dictated what we wonder about veterinarians.

We also used the craft sticks to outline various shapes.  We counted how many craft sticks fit around the various shapes and wrote the number.

With Mrs. Zwetter we "fed" dogs!  We worked to recognize the number on the dogs and then counted out that many "treats" for the dog.  This activity increases number recognition, one to one correspondence, and counting.

Second outside time

Second free choice

Lego creations

During small group time we played a game with Mrs. Lipsey that increases foundational math skills.

We also explored with the geoboards.

Finally, we played a game with me that increases counting, one to one correspondence, and fine motor growth.
