Today we had many opportunities to learn and practice how to show God's love to each other.  A large part of Pre-K is learning valuable social skills including problem solving, conflict resolution, and learning to share and take turns.

I encourage you to role play various social scenarios at home with your child.  For example, ask your child:
"What do you do if a friend takes a toy away from you?"
"Does it show God's love when we take things away without asking?"
"What words show God's love?"
"What kind of words don't show God's love?"

I appreciate you help in learning these valuable skills.  :)

Veterinary exploration!

Creating in the blocks

The friends are practicing waiting for their turn on the monkey bars.  It is hard to wait, but they are doing a great job learning!

During second small group time, the friends had another opportunity to explore in the veterinary office.

They also worked to paint a tree which we will use to add leaves and apples.  We will write what we are thankful for on these leaves and apples.

Once the tree is hung up, we will invite parents and families to add what they are thankful for on our thankful tree as well. :)

With me, we discussed what we are thankful for.  The friends dictated what they are thankful for; we will hang these leaves on our thankful tree!

During Jesus time,  we role played scenarios in order to help us practice showing God's love to each other.  We discussed kind and unkind words as well as responses we can use when a friend is unkind to us.  We prayed for forgiveness of our bad choices and asked God to help us show His love to each other.

During second small group time we reviewed some of the bible stories we have learned so far.

With Mrs. Lipsey, we reviewed the story of Noah and the Ark.

Independently, the friends "parted the red sea" like Jesus did.  (The friends used shaving cream. :) )

With me, we built a tall tower like the Tower of Babel.  We re-read the story as well!
