Our friends did a fantastic job with many changes in our routines today.

We began our day with chapel where Pastor Lepley shared with us that God takes away all of our blemishes and makes us perfect in Him.  Because of Jesus' death and resurrection we are saved from our sins!

We stopped by our chapel buddies' classroom to see how they decorated it for Mrs. Martin's (the 8th grade teacher) birthday.

When we returned to the classroom, it was our turn to take pictures.  The friends did a fabulous job waiting  for everyone to finish taking their picture.  Great job friends!

After our pictures, we went outside and played!

Because of our different day, we did not have time for small groups.  We are looking forward to small group time tomorrow!

Mrs. Zwetter took some pictures during morning meeting time today.

We sing many sings and finger plays during morning meeting.  This increases phonemic awareness, body awareness, and number sense.

The friends also helped me remember how to write my letters- sometimes I forget!  We sang, "Where do we start our letters? (At the top!)" to help remind me too.  :)

After lunch and quiet time, we went back outside.

Avery found a new type of spider outside.  We loved observing it during second free choice time.

We made a new creation station board.  The friends can hang their creations on the board as long as they include a label for their creation.

Karissa explained her artwork for Avery.

During second small groups we used another building as our inspiration for creation.

We also wrote in our journals.

Finally, we made spiders with play dough and pipe cleaners.  The children practiced one to one correspondence as they counted out the legs for their spiders.
