Happy Friday!

The blocks were once again a popular choice this morning during free choice time.  Children learn so much as they build and create in the blocks.  Our block structures are becoming more intricate as the children learn and experience more with the blocks.

Mrs. Lamb was our Library Volunteer today.  We had so much fun playing with her during free choice!

Thank you Mrs. Lamb!

We love to play outside!

During snack time, I made a web in the blocks for small group time.  The children had to draw the web.  Then, they had to write a plan of how they were going to get through the web. Then, they tried out their plan.  When children make a plan, such as in this activity, they are increasing their cognitive development.  They are also engaging in language development as they express their plan.

Making the plan

The second small group we practiced writing with the special markers and special writing books!

With Mrs. Zwettler we made a rainbow with our handprints to remind us that God keeps His promises!

During Jesus time the friends helped me re-tell the story of Noah and the flood.

Whoops!  I forgot my camera for second outside time.  :(

Second free choice time

During second small group time we finished our handprint rainbow by writing "God keeps His promises" on the bottom.

Mrs. Lipsey led our friends as they searched for spiders in the cloud dough.  The friends made a mark each time they found a spider.  This helps fine motor control.

Ms. Jen stopped in and helped us as we wrote on the white boards!
