Happy Birthday Gwen!  We are so thankful that God brought you here to Our Shepherd!

After Jesus time this morning we had a severe weather drill.  The friends did a fantastic job!

We then learned about our magazine fundraiser. Fundraiser packets and more information will be sent home tomorrow in the Friday folders. :)

After the presentation, we had a lot of fun running in the gym!

During small group time we continued working with the letters in our names.

With Mrs. Dohrman, we practiced writing numbers for our August calendar.

We also worked on identifying our emotions.  The friends shared an emotion that they feel sometimes, and we discussed how we can tell how someone else is feeling by the look on their face.  We took turns making faces of different emotions.  The friends then chose an emotion to express; we wrote the emotion and then took a picture of the friends showing that emotion.  We will use these pictures in our classroom for an emotions board.  It is important for children (and adults) to be able to identify their emotions so that they can express it in a positive way.

Free choice time

Some of the friends collaborated to make words!

Some of the friends took notes on who is coming to the party in the dramatic play.

One of the friends sorted all of the blue numbers and the blue dice!

Many friends used creative thinking to create out of the loose parts.

"I made the cross for Jesus!"

"Welcome to the party!"

During afternoon meeting we read The Very Busy Spider and used felt pieces to re-tell the story.

We then went outside and enjoyed the new fence in our outdoor classroom.
