We had a great second day of Pre-K today! 

We began our day this morning with Jesus time!

We learned a song called Jesus is my best friend.  We also read a book about how Jesus always loves us.  He loves us so much that He died on the cross and rose again to save us from our sins! 

We then danced to the song Jesus is my best friend. 

After Jesus time, we had small group time.  Like I said yesterday, we are really focusing on learning the routines of school this first week or so.  We practiced staying in our group, freezing our knees, and moving with our group to the next center.  We also learned how to use some of the classroom materials. 

The friends are working hard to stay quiet in the hallway.  

The friends had so much fun running and chasing each other out on the playground today!  

Back inside, we had free choice time.  The friends practiced what we learned in small group time about taking care of our classroom things.  They also cleaned up super fast!  You would be so proud!

During morning meeting, we played Who Stole the Cookie from the Cookie Jar.  This game helps increase rhyming and also helps us learn each other's names!  We are creating our own Pre-K community, and that begins with knowing each other's names.  :) 

After lunch and quiet time, we went back outside.
