Happy Friday!

This morning we thanked God for making us His own!  

We sang praises to God thanking Him for making us His children!

Thank you Mrs. Davis for reading to us this morning! 

Today we checked out books. (Thank you Mr. Anderson for your help checking out books!)  

Library books are due back on Friday.  :) 

After library and snack, we waited for the fire drill.  While we were waiting, we had a dance party! 

Then it was time for the fire drill.  Our friends did amazing! 

Outside time

Back in the classroom we had free choice time. 

We are learning positive conflict resolution skills as we play.  We are learning to ask for a turn with a toy rather than simply taking the toy away.  The friends are learning to use phrases such as:

"How many minutes until my turn?" 

and 

"Can I have a turn when you are done?"

You can use these at home too! 

During morning meeting we reviewed our name graph.  We counted the letters in our name to see how many letters our in each of our names.  We then used comparative words to compare the length of our names!

We then read a big book about changing and growing!

Today the friends were able to eat in the classroom because we are working to put our new sound system in the gym for the new contemporary worship service. 

After rest, we enjoyed the beautiful weather outside! 

During small group time we practiced identifying letters.

We strengthened our fine motor skills with play doh.

We also practiced using scissors with Mrs. Lipsey.
