"And God saw that it was good!"  Genesis 1:10

Today we reviewed the story of creation.  We remembered that God made everything GOOD!

After Jesus time, the friends noticed that two of our friends had the same shirt on!  We discussed how their shorts were similar, but not the same.  We discussed how similar means kind of the same, but kind of different.

During small group time we continued to practice pencil grip and pressure as we wrote the word "good" to add to our creation mural.

With Mrs. Helmkamp we continued to strengthen our fine motor skills with play doh, pipe cleaners, and beads.  :)

With Mrs. Zwettler, the friends glued their creation paintings to our mural! Mrs. Zwettler worked to label their paintings.  This helps strengthen the connection between spoken word and written print!

Outside time

Free choice time

Some of the friends chose to read some of our signs and practice the alphabet!  This intrinsic motivation to learn is what we want to foster.  :)

Some of the friends had a picnic!

During morning meeting we read Mrs. McNosh Hangs Up Her Wash again.  The friends helped fill in the rhyming words!

Our schedule director led us through the schedule today.  This lay a strong foundation for future learning about time!

We then danced to one of our favorite songs.  :)

Second outside time

Our friends were helping each other on the swings!

During small group time we again practiced pencil grip and pressure as we drew!  We decided to make all of our colored pencils small to help encourage correct pencil grip. We are taking a break from markers in the classroom so that we can practice correct pencil pressure.

We also strengthened our fine motor skills with play doh, pipe cleaners, and beads!

With Mrs. Lipsey, the friends stamped numbers and practiced recognizing numbers as they stamped!

Second free choice time

We are learning how to control our emotions and resolve our conflicts with each other.
