We began our day with chapel!  Our 8th grade chapel buddies sat with us!

Pastor Matt led chapel.  He demonstrated how when we share God's love through our words and actions, His love can grow in them!

We then went to the gym to learn about the magazine fundraiser and all of the fun prizes we can earn! Look for information in your child's Friday Folder.  :)

We then went outside to run and play.

Back in the classroom we had free choice time.

Many of the friends are already curious how to write and spell words!  Here are some ways you can support this at home:

Allow your child to create with a pencil and paper

When writing your grocery list, cards, etc have your child help

Make labels for your home (sink, table, etc.) with your child

We are learning conflict resolution skills. One of the phrases we have learned is:

"How many minutes until my turn?"

After lunch and quiet time, we went back outside.  It was much cooler this afternoon!  :)

During second small group time we strengthened our fine motor skills as we created with play doh.

We used our unique fingerprint to make a beautiful painting with Mrs. Lipsey!

With me, the friends practiced spelling their names by matching the upper and lowercase letters.  We practiced identifying the letters in our names as we worked!

Second free choice time

The friends independently reviewed our daily schedule during free choice time!

Other friends played Hickety Pickety
