This morning we finished illustrating our story of Christmas break!  Next week it will be available in our classroom library for the friends to read.

We have read the book below a few times this week.  Repetition of familiar books and stories helps build important reading skills including vocabulary and word recognition, pattern and rhythm, fluency, comprehension, and confidence.

Outside time

After snack we went to work!

Writing stories

"This book is about my house.  See?  I drew it right there."

"Would you like coffee?"

"Oh... it is heavy.  Be sure it is stabilized."

Ta da!

"I made the cookies!  Careful - they are hot!"

The friends have been working in the loose parts and engaging their creative thinking skills to build various towers and pictures with them.
