Pastor Matt led our chapel this morning.

We discussed baptism!

One of the friends helped Pastor Matt locate the baptism font and move it to the front.

He then shared with us that we need water and the Word for baptism.   The power does not come from special water, but from God's word in the bible!  What a gift that we have direct access to God's word in the bible!

After chapel we all took a closer look at the baptism font.

The friends were discussing our wonderings from our walk to the bridge / creek yesterday.   We continued this discussion and I documented the friends' wonderings.  We then voted if we wanted to learn about playgrounds or the creek.  The creek was the clear choice for the friends.  Our friends were so excited to begin learning!

"We will need a creek expert to visit us!"

"Maybe we can clean the creek!"

"I'm so excited to tell my mom!"

We then walked out to the creek.

"Is the green stuff moss?"

"No it's seaweed!"

"It's actually algae."

"I think we need an algae expert to help us!"

"Why does it look like it's moving on one side and not the other?"

"Look!  If you put a stick in it goes to the other side!"

"The water is moving!"

"Look at the circles when I drop the stick."

We then documented our observations in our journals.

Back in the classroom the friends went to work!

"We need a creek in our classroom!"

"Only use blue because the water is blue."

"We should get gray for the rocks!"

"YEAH!  We need green for the seaweed!"

"This is the moss."

"If you squish it like this, it can be a rock!"

"Let's leave the restaurant too because then people can eat and look at the creek while they are eating."

After lunch we went to the playground.
