This morning we added illustrations to our book about Christmas break! 

After we added our illustrations we read this funny book!  There were some words in the book that are important to us as readers and writers.  We wrote them in a list so that we could refer back to them.  I encourage you to use these words at home with your child as well! 

We are building a classroom community of friends who love and care for each other! It is great to see the friends showing God's love through their actions! 

Outside time 

During small group time the friends used the loose parts to create.  We pulled out our classroom camera to document our creations.  Once again, the friends used the social strategies we have learned to share and take turns with the camera without needing adult intervention! 

We also clipped number clips to matching number cards.  We practiced identifying the numbers as we discussed which clips match the cards. 

The friends also worked to write their own stories. 

"Mine has a title!" 

"Look!  Mine has illustrations on every page!" 

"What would you like to order?" 

"Let's write our name down for the customer." 

Our friends also created a rich play scenario in the blocks!
