"Seek first the kingdom of God."  Matthew 6:33

Today we learned the story of the tower of babel.  We learned that sometimes we sin by doing what we want instead of what God wants.  We also learned that there are consequences for being selfish, but God has mercy on us and sent Jesus to be our Savior.  Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we live as God's children, eager to please Him by doing what He wants for us.

We built a tower together as we learned the story!

Before small group time, Mrs. Zwettler read to us the book The Three Little Pigs.

During small group time, we used straws and play doh to make houses.  The goal is to design a plan and then implement it, problem solving, and persistence.

With Mrs. Zwettler, we practiced drawing circles.  We used the circles to draw a pig!

With me, the friends listened to The Three Little Pigs Story again. We are working to learn familiar stories so that the children can practice re-telling them later in the week!

Outside time

Free choice time

One friend sorted all of the frogs!  Good work!

Second outside time

During second small groups the friends drew pictures of a house and worked to "glue" straw to the house just like the story the Three Little Pigs.

We continued to problem solve and think through how we could build a house out of straws and play doh.

With me, we read a different version, but same story, of the Three Little Pigs

During free choice time the friends acted out the story of the three little pigs!

We love the easel!  :)

Some of the friends set up a baby sale!  :) Only "one buck" each.

Working collaboratively in the blocks. :)
