During Jesus time this morning we reviewed the story of Noah and the flood.  We learned that a rainbow can remind us that God keeps His promises!

During small group time the friends read in the library.  Although the children can't read conventionally, they are learning important concepts of print that will create a strong foundation for future reading!

With Mrs. Zwettler, the friends added feathers, tissue paper, and felt to their animal masks.

With me, the friends practiced recognizing letters and the writing them in sand.  We practiced correct letter formation and we worked to start each letter at the top!

As a whole group, we practiced identifying what item doesn't belong.

What item doesn't belong in this group?

Outside time

Even teachers love our playground!

Mrs. Helmkamp and I had fun going down the slide together!

During free choice time, one of the friends set up a library!

Some friends chose to create at the creation station.

During morning meeting we read another Pete the Cat book!

We also practiced substituting the beginning sounds of words!  (For more information on this- pleas look at yesterday's post.  :) )

Second outside time

During second small group time we practiced identifying what item does not belong. Then, the friends had a chance to put their knowledge to work as they set out items for their friends to identify which one does not belong.

With Mrs. Lipsey, the friends practiced writing letters in sand.  They worked to identify the letters as they wrote.

Independently, the friends created in the creation station!
