We were so excited to see even more sprouts in our plants today!

Jordan worked hard to make "the best bridge in the world."  It fell a few times, but he did not give up.  Great persistence Jordan!

Mrs. Zwettler purchased some beautiful rocks for our nature center.  Thank you Mrs. Zwettler!  The friends were comparing the properties of the rocks.

"This one is bumpier."

"This one is heavier."

Flower shop play

Our friends love each other! :)

Mrs. Zwettler and Kennedy played church together.

In morning meeting we shared problems we solved during free choice time.

"Eli wanted to use the magnifying glass, but I had it.  So he asked 'How many minutes until my turn?'"

We discussed how we solved the problems.  This builds confidence as well as provides leadership for future problem solving.

Dominick led our alphabet today!

We again played the "I am going to Grandma's house" game to increase our recall.

We began our gym time with some stretches.

We then practiced large motor skills with fun games :)

Then the friends enjoyed free play in the gym.

During small group time we observed the sprouts in the pot.  We discussed what we observed.  The friends worked to draw what they see in the pot.  We call this an observational drawing.  Observational drawings helps the friends organize knowledge and understanding.  Observational drawings also help children learn to filter speculations and false theories out from what was actually observed.  Furthermore, children develop new theories as they draw and observe. Finally, children retain more of what they learn in an observation when they draw versus when they do not.

With Mrs. Zwettler, the friends painted a vase for the bouquet of flowers we have been working on.

Finally, the friends continued book work.  Some friends read their books!

During Jesus time we reviewed the story of the Ten Lepers that Jesus healed.  We learned that Jesus always forgives us and He always loves us.  We thanked Him for dieing  on the cross and rising again to save us from our sins!

Second free choice

During small group time we practiced recognizing numbers with number bingo.

We practiced writing numbers too!
