Welcome back!  This week we are learning about the Good Samaritan.  We are learning the Bible verse, "We love because He first loved us." 1 John 4:19.  God loves us so much that He sent Jesus to die on the cross and rise again to save us!

During small group time we strengthened our fine motor skills as we laced hearts.

We made our Valentine bags for the party tomorrow!

We also practiced recognizing numbers, counting, and solving puzzle with number heart matching.

The friends also practiced subitizing (identifying an amount without needed to count) as they rolled a dice, counted that same number of stickers, and then added them to a piece of paper.  (The small stickers strengthened our fine motor skills too!)

Two friends accidentally ripped one of the heart puzzles.  They worked together to fix the puzzle.  Great job friends!

Free choice time

Testing to see which marble goes faster down the circular ramp.

Flying airplanes

Our creativity has deepened so much throughout the school year!

Making a purse

During morning meeting we played a game that increases letter recognition and letter/sound correlation.

Afternoon dance party

Second free choice time

During small group time we continued to practice subitizing, counting, and strengthening our fine motor skills.

We continued to lace the hearts to strengthen our fine motor skills some more. :)

With Mrs. Zwettler, the friends practiced subitizing, counting, and one to one correspondence as they played a game.

With Mrs. Helmkamp the friends worked to identify and write numbers.
