During chapel this morning Mr. Borcherding Senior shared with us about how his heart was fixed through a surgery.  Our hearts have been fixed too!  Through Jesus' death and resurrection, our hearts have been made clean!

After chapel our student council informed us of a food drive we are starting for the food pantry here at Our Shepherd.  Our food pantry provides much needed meals for many families.

Tomorrow a police officer will visit our classroom.  We took a few minutes to write down our questions for him.

During gym time we had a relay!

We also played the "blinder" game from last week's Jesus story.  The friends exhibited self control throughout the game!

Free choice time is a natural time to develop language skills as well as conflict resolution skills.

"We should build a tall tower."

"No. How about we make a zoo?"

"Let's make a tall zoo!"

These friends problem solved how they could created when they ran out of tape.  Great thinking friends!

As the friends explore spatial relationships through the pattern blocks, they are exploring foundational math concepts.

Second gym time

Second free choice

During second small group time we compared numbers when presented as numerals.  We weighed the numbers to see which is heaver to show which number has more.

We practiced recognizing numbers as we played Bingo.

We also practiced correct letter formation.
