During Jesus time this morning we reviewed the story of the Good Samaritan.  We discussed how we can show God's love to others here in our classroom!  We sang our bible verse for the week, "We love because He first loved us."  1 John 4:19

We moved our schedule around a bit for our party.  :)

Free choice time

"Look! I see an exclamation point!"

Reviewing the alphabet on the carpet.  I encourage you to point out letters and words while you drive in the car with your child, go to the store, etc.

We have a creative class!

We worked to set up our Police Station.  We decided that we need a few rules for the police station.

One of the friends wrote a sign to remind the friends that only one person can be in the station at a time.

Another friend made a sign up sheet for the police station.

Another friend worked to write, "No jumping in jail."

During morning meeting we played a game that helps increase letter recognition and letter/sound correlation.

Gym time!

Party time!

Making marshmallow structures

Creating Valentines

Snack

Handing out valentines

Praise God we were able to go outside today!

During small group time we continued to practice subitizing (recognizing how many in a set without needing to count) in many different ways.

With me, the friends rolled a dice, counted out the same number of stickers, and put them on the paper.  This not only increases the ability to subitize, but it also strengthens our fine motor skills!

The friends also laced hearts to strengthen their fine motor skills.

With Mrs. Helmkamp the friends practiced writing numbers.

With Mrs. Lipsey the friends played a game to increase their ability to subtilize, count, and strengthen  one to one correspondence.

Free choice time

"I made a sign up sheet for the car wash."

"I need to write Car Wash so that people know what it is for."

One of the friends practiced the letters. :)

"Im making a big eye."

"I need handcuffs for jail."
