Happy Birthday Mrs. Lipsey! We love you!
During Jesus time this morning we learned more about the 10 commandments.
We also practiced singing our song for Sunday with Mr. Borcherding.
During small group time we practiced patterning with Mrs. Zwettler.
We also continued to strengthen our fine motor skills with play dough.
We made a birthday poster for Mrs. Lipsey with Mrs. Helmkamp! Happy Birthday Mrs. Lipsey!
We worked together to do a puzzle too!
I continued to work with the friends one on one to complete assessments. We use both formal and informal assessments to help provide an accurate picture of each child's progress. This helps us modify our teaching to best fit each individual child's needs.

During morning meeting we read I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie. This book is filled with rhythm, repetition, and rhyming. It helps the children hear the rhythms and patterns of language and to play with words and practice their sounds. These are important steps to learning how to read. Rhythm, rhyme, and repetition make words memorable. The songs, poems, and books that children learn by heart today will help them learn to read the words in books tomorrow.
