Happy Birthday Finn!  We are so thankful that God brought you to Our Shepherd!

During Jesus time we thanked God for the many gifts He gives us.  We also sang songs in thanks and praise to God!

We re-arranged our schedule a bit today to see a play put on by the third grade.

Free choice time

Many of the friends made unprompted birthday cards and pictures for Finn.  :).

Some of the friends explored the magnetic letters.

Look how the friends track print from left to right!  If your child is already doing this at home, you can encourage your child to count how many words are in a line of print as you read.  This will strengthen your child's concepts of print (words are made up of letters) and help them as they continue to grow as readers.

We worked to order the numbers from 1-12.

Pre-K Spa is open!

The doctor is in

Avry created her own small group activity for friends!

Outside time

The third grade class wrote and performed their own play!

We are thankful for the many talented teachers we have here at Our Shepherd.  I encourage you to consider Our Shepherd for kindergarten and beyond!

During morning meeting we read this book about Thanksgiving.

The friends also reminded me how to write letters.  I forgot that we always start at the top!  :)

Second outside time

During small group time we practiced ordering 1-12, recognizing 1-12, and counting with one to one correspondence.

Mrs. Lipsey read books to the friends stressing rhyme and repetition to enforce the rhythm of spoken words.

With Mrs. Helmkamp we finished our thankful turkeys.
