During Jesus time we reviewed the importance of rules.  They help us show God's love and keep us safe.  We sang a song about obedience.

We then discussed how we will make mistakes.  The only perfect person to walk this earth is Jesus.  Jesus died and rose again so we are saved from our sins and bad choices!

During small group time we created with the play dough.

We read a book with Mrs. Helmkamp.  This book is filled with rhythm, repetition, and rhyme.  It helps the children hear the rhythm and patterns of language, play with words, and practice their sounds.  These are important foundational steps to reading!

We are almost done with our fall assessments.  :) Assessments are an important component of our program because they help us see each child's strengths and areas for growth.  This helps us modify our teaching to best help each child.
