Welcome back!  I pray that you had a restful break!

The friends were excited to see each other today.  It is so fun to see how they have developed strong friendships with each other.  (This is also a skill that will help them be successful throughout their lives!)

Dominick and Mason noticed that not many friends were visiting the flower shop.  We talked about things we could do to have more friends in the flower shop.  I suggested maybe we should make a commercial about the flower shop?  Other friends joined in the discussion about commercials. We decided we would discuss it more during small group time.

We all shared a story from our spring break during morning meeting.  This increases important skills (recalling something from the past) and language development!  It also helps us learn more about each other.  :)

Outside time

During small group time, the friends observed our plants and how they changed over spring break.  They documented the changes in their flower journal!

They also practiced writing numbers in their journals.

With me, the friends watched a commercial.  We then discussed how we could make our own commercial for our flower shop.  We will record the commercial later in the week!

During Jesus time we learned the story of Jesus' washing the disciples feet.  We learned that He washed their feet to show that He loved them!  We discussed things that we can do that show God's love.  We worked to memorize the bible verse, "Jesus said, 'Love others as I have loved you.'" John 15:12.

Second free choice

On the way outside we noticed that our picture is on a big banner!

Second outside time- we made it out before the rain!  Yay!

During second small group time we played a popcorn game to increase letter recognition, letter/sound correlation, and upper and lowercase letter matching.

We also engaged our listening skills with a listening bingo!
