Happy Week of the Young Child!

Schools and Early Childhood Centers across the nation are celebrating our youngest learners this week.  We thank and praise God for the opportunity to teach and share Jesus love at our school!

During morning meeting we watched a short video about different instruments and the sounds that they make.

I then played various instruments for the friends.  I played them again while hiding them, and the friends predicted what instrument they heard.

Rhyming bridge!

During small group time the friends danced to music!

Mrs. Zwettler continued the instrument game with the friends.

With me, the friends described what kind of instrument that they would want to be if they were an instrument.  They used creative thinking to describe/create their own instrument or describe an instrument that they would choose to be.

Outside

There was a kill deer on the playground too!  She was protecting eggs and was screeching letting us know that she did not want us to get close.

Free choice time

Can you use pattern blocks to make a star?

The friends used their senses to explore the new materials!

During Jesus time we learned the story of when the disciples met Jesus on the road to Emmaus.  The disciples were so excited to share with everyone that Jesus is alive! We can share that news with others too!  Jesus is alive!
