Although it was dreary outside, we had a great day in Pre-K!

This morning in chapel, we learned that judas betrayed Jesus. We discussed what it means to betray someone.  We also learned that Jesus will never betray us!  He died on the cross and rose again to saves us and He loves us very much!

During morning meeting, we played a game in which we count out a certain number of animals.  (Today it was five.)  The friends then close their eyes as I hide some of the animals under the cup.  The friends then count how many animals are left, and work to see how many are hiding.  This game helps us play with numbers and strengthen one to one correspondence.

We then went to the gym and after stretching, we played with the tennis balls!

During small group time, one of the groups engaged in free choice.

With Mrs. Zwettler, the friends worked to measure how tall some of our plants have gotten.

With me, the friends made a "face flower" and cut it out.  Then, we worked together to measure each other.  Tomorrow, we will order our measurements remembering that God made us all different, and it is okay if someone is taller, shorter, etc.

Second free choice

Nora and Mason sorted the money for the flower shop!

Creating with the blocks

Many of the friends chose to create with the beautiful paper!

One of the friends was scared after the thunder rumbled.  I snuck this picture to show another friend comforting the scared friend.  This is a great example of showing God's love to each other!

Flower shop fun

During small group time we practiced ordering smallest to tallest.

We also played the listening sounds game again.

With me, the friends practiced recognizing letters, their sounds, and matching upper and lower case letters.  The friends are getting so good, we moved at "lightning speed" to see how fast we could recognize the letters and their sounds.
