During chapel this morning, Pastor Lepley shared with us how we can share the good news of Easter with everyone!  We talked about ways we could show God's love and who we could share Jesus' love with.  Jesus is risen!

During small group time, the friends used their creative thinking skills to make birds out of good junk. According to the updated Bloom's Taxonomy, creative thinking is the highest level thinking skill.  So as the friends engage in creative thinking they are also expanding their cognitive development!

With me, the friends worked to make fish for our waterfall, river, and pond.

With Mrs. Zwettler, the friends finished their stained glass crosses.

Outside time

Free choice time

The friends wondered how we could go fishing without any fishing rods?  We problem solved together how we could solve this problem.  Here are some of their responses:

"We could ask Mrs. Helmkamp if we could borrow her fishing rods."

"We could make some out of paper."

"We could use sticks!"

I had placed some dowel rods on the floor, and said to the friends, "Feel free to use these if you would like."

Eli made his own fishing rod!

More Creating

Some of the friends made "fire" for our campfire!

Second outside time

The bunnies on the playground are doing great!

During second small group time, the friends worked to paint papers for flames for our campfire.

One of the friends said, "We are painting fire?!" :)

The friends also made more fish too!
