The rhyming bridge is falling down!

Each child is created unique by God, and therefore success for each child is different.  Success for some children with rhyming is independently generating two rhyming words.  Success for some children is naming a word that rhymes with a given word.  Success for other children is generating three, four, or five rhyming words independently.  We celebrate all success in Pre-K!

During small group time we continued to work on adding stems to our egg carton printed flowers.

With Mrs. Andrews we practiced identifying numbers, counting, and one to one correspondence.

(Thank you for your help today Mrs. Andrews!  Please continue to pray for Mrs. Zwettler's health!)

With me, the friends matched upper and lower case letters.  They then isolated the beginning sound of a word and identified which "letter pot" it goes with.

Outside time!

Thank you Mrs. Woolsey for the scissors and paper cutters!  We had so much fun exploring and creating with them today during free choice!

Flower deliveries

Working together in the blocks.  Learning how to work together is an extremely important social skill.  The friends practice this skill naturally in free choice time.  We also work to teach the friends skills and phrases that will help them work together.

"You can play with us."

"How many minutes until my turn?"

During Jesus time, the friends helped retell the story of Jesus death and resurrection using props.  We will send these props home with you tomorrow so that your child can share the Easter story with you too!

During second outside time, we planned where we are going to put our garden with the 8th grade tomorrow.

We then had fun throwing bean bags around!

During small group time we painted flowers.

We "planted" flowers and practiced subitizing, number recognition, and counting.

We also practiced matching upper and lower case letters.
