This morning in chapel Pastor Lepley shared with us that God is our fortress!

We also heard from our student council President and Vice President.  Over the next four weeks we will be collecting canned goods for our food pantry ministry.  The class that collects the most canned goods will win an ice cream party!

Look how we help each other!

We love our friends!

During small group time we continued to practice making words and discussing upper and lower case letters. The friends worked in partners to make the words.

With me, we continued to practice measuring.  The friends then practiced writing the number too!

With Mrs. Dohrman, the friends measured the towers they made.

Our friends continued to help each other practice measuring during free choice time!  Peer coaching is beneficial for all friends involved.  It allows the friend coaching an opportunity to use a separate part of their brain as they teach another friend; this solidifies the information. It also allows the other friend to learn from a peer!

"Why do the crickets smell like pepperoni?"

"I'm on security."

"Look!  There is a lady bug in there."

"Why doesn't it have any spots?"

"These bugs are attacking each other."

"What is your password?"

"1"

"Number 1 okay.  What comes next?"

This afternoon we were so excited to find so many bugs!
