"Beloved, we are God's children now!"  1 John 3:2

This morning we acted out the story of Sarah and Abraham.

We praise God for the beautiful weather this morning!

We also found lady bugs in the tree!

Outdoor classroom

After snack, we sang praises to God for all of His goodness and faithfulness!
He sent Jesus to be our Savior!

Then, Mrs. Dohrman played hot potato with the friends. In this game the friends are practicing important social skills.

During small group time we made Thank You cards for our library helpers and for Mr. Mierow who built our mud kitchen and pergola in the outdoor classroom.  We practiced correct letter formation as we wrote.

Free choice time

The friends were very interested in writing on the write and wipe boards. We practiced beginning sounds and letter formation as we played.

"Look!  I made a mystery mark!"

"My mom calls those question marks."

Each day we practice important social skills.  We daily practice how to handle if our feelings are hurt, if someone disagrees with us, if someone wants to play a different game, etc.  These skills are important for children to learn.  It helps create a positive learning environment.  Furthermore, these skills will benefit them as they grow throughout their lives!

We freed the insects we caught this afternoon.

We then found a dead cricket for observation.

We enjoyed the nice weather on the playground!
