We had another great day in Pre-K!

Exploring our ramp.  We wondered why the cars kept getting stuck? The friends had the opportunity to problem solve and persist in finding a solution.  :)

The friends did a fantastic job working together in the blocks.  We are learning to resolve our conflicts independently in a positive way!

Sometimes our friends forget to knock when the bathroom door is closed.
Isabella made a "Please Knock" sign for our bathroom to help remind us!

Of course the creation station was popular!

I snuck a picture during our morning prayer.  The friends are learning that we can talk to God anytime about anything!

Outside time

During small groups we worked on a poster of things that make us frown.  This will be posted next to the poster of things that make us smile.  We will refer to these throughout the rest of the year!

We also explored spatial relationships and shapes with the tangrams.

Finally, we strengthened our fine motor skills as we worked to cut out leaves for our door decorations for the door decor contest.

During Jesus time we reviewed the story of Israel in the desert.  We learned the bible verse from Matthew "Give us this day our daily bread."  We played a game to help us remember the verse!  We remember that God has provided for all that we need.  He provided for our biggest need for a Savior when He sent Jesus to die and rise again to save us!

During second outside time we enjoyed playing on the big playground!

Second free choice time

Karissa and Isabella co-authored a book!

Creation station work

Some of the friends made cages for animals!

Nora made a self-portrait complete with brown hair!

During second small groups we mixed blues and white to paint a sky background for the door decoration contest.

We practiced writing in the writing center.

Finally, we did a collaborative texture painting with Mrs. Lipsey!
