Happy rainy Thursday!

Morning free choice time was full of activity.  I was busy joining in on the fun, so I apologize there are not as many pictures as usual. 

The friends want to change the movie theater into a Veterinarian office!  We gathered supplied and started discussing a plan.  

We worked on a secret message for visitors to our classroom!  Here is a picture of us working on the secret message.

In the gym we stretched and did some crossing the midline activities before we ran and played. 

During small group time we role played various problematic scenarios.  We discussed how we could solve those problems.  We learned that we can solve our own problems! 

We made shapes with craft sticks. 

We also worked with Mrs. Zwettler and the tangrams to make our own tangram shadow book.  

During Jesus time we learned that the Israelites complained about the food that God provided for them rather than being thankful.  We discussed times that we have complained rather than being thankful.  We remembered that the best thing to be thankful for is the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ's death and resurrection! 

We had indoor recess today, and the friends loved making the movie theater into the veterinary office! 

During small groups we enjoyed reading some new big books. 

We also worked on writing and forming letters with Mrs. Lipsey. 

We also made shapes with me!  We discussed the sides and corners of the shapes and how they are similar and different.
