This morning we practiced our song for Sunday at the 10:45 service .  Please plan to drop your child off in our classroom at 10:30.  If your child is unable to make it, please let me know.

Outside time

Small group time

Did you know that when your child recognizes familiar signs and symbols (environmental print), they are learning important pre-reading concepts! The friends are beginning to understand that print carries meaning and that signs and words around us are meant to convey a message.

We love reading books!  One of the goals of early childhood education is to foster positive dispositions towards reading.  :)

We continued to practice counting and comparing numbers with Mrs. Dohrman.

During free choice time I worked with the friends one on one to complete some formal assessments.  This helps me adjust what we do and how we do it to best fit each student's needs.

"Look at the word I made!"

Our friends love to write!

Afternoon free choice

The friends worked hard to make their own "offices" for their work.

Working together in the blocks helps the friends practice spatial reasoning as well as important social skills. :)
