This morning we practiced our song for Sunday at the 10:45 service .  Please plan to drop your child off in our classroom at 10:30.  If your child is unable to make it, please let me know.

We then went on a leaf hunt.  We noticed that the leaves were all different shapes, sizes, and colors!

During small group time the friends enjoyed reading the new Thanksgiving books.

They practiced counting and comparing numbers with Mrs. Dohrman.

Did you know that when your child recognizes familiar signs and symbols (environmental print), they are learning important pre-reading concepts! The friends are beginning to understand that print carries meaning and that signs and words around us are meant to convey a message. During small group time we reviewed some environmental print that we recognize!

Free choice time

We started making a thankful tree!  Look for this tree by the end of the week.

Second free choice

The friends worked together to describe and sort the leaves.  This helps to grow expressive language skills as well as foundational math skills.

Exploring spatial relationships

Exploring magnetic properties
