Happy Birthday Cora!  We are so thankful that God brought you to our class!

We had so much fun running and playing in the gym this morning.  The friends are learning important navigation skills as they learn where their body is in relation to others and the environment.

During small group time we continued to explore environmental print.

We also read books.

We practiced writing and comparing numbers.

Free choice time

One of the friends wanted to practice writing during free choice time.

Exploring the properties of light

The friends practiced singing Make Me a Servant as a part of their play scenario.  They were singing to a "sick dog."  The dog in the play scenario stuck to the role of dog as they sang the song with the words "woof woof."  This exhibits an important aspect of executive function called inhibitive control.    Want to know more about executive function?  CLICK HERE

During second free choice time the friends wanted to make a video to teach others how to do the hula hoop.  We worked figure out where a safe space would be in the classroom.  I asked the friends want we needed to do next, and they decided to make signs and dress up for the video.  We will continue to work on this tomorrow!
