"My Spirit rejoices in God my Savior!" Luke 1:47

During Jesus time this morning we learned that because of sin, we need a Savior.  God loved the world so much that He gave His Son to save us all from the punishment of our sins.  All along, God knew what needed to be done.  Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can trust that our caring God always knows what we need.  We rejoice that our Savior was born!

During gym time today we practiced following multi-step directions with an obstacle course.  We also practiced important gross motor skills.  :)

We then had free choice in the gym.

During small group time today the friends used their creative thinking and the loose parts to decorate a tree.

They practiced identifying letters as we played alphabet bingo.

We also practiced quickly recognizing the number of objects in a set.  (This is the ability to subitize.) The friends practiced multiple other skills during this game including matching and retelling the Christmas story.

During free choice time the friends noticed the Christmas costume box.  Many of the friends chose to dress up and act out the most important Christmas story - the story of Jesus' birth!

Other friends chose to re-tell the Christmas story using a story board.
