Welcome to National Lutheran School's Week!

We are going o have a great week celebrating our school!

This morning we began our day with a short devotion in the chapel.  This is how we will begin every day this week.  When we returned to the classroom, we had our morning meeting.

We reviewed our estimations from signing in.

We then counted how many marbles were in the estimation jar.  We played with numbers as we added and took marbles away from our marble line.

We then read a silly book together!

Our 8th grade buddies came for us to do our service activity together.  We love our 8th grade buddies!

Our service event was deep cleaning our chairs, tables, and classroom surfaces.

When everything was clean, our 8th grade buddies read to us!

We then had free choice with our 8th grade buddies.

Once the 8th grade buddies left, we went to run in the gym for a few minutes.

Back in the classroom, it was Jesus time.  We learned the story of Jesus healing a blind man.  We learned that sometimes we may feel as if no one cares.  However, Jesus hears our cry and delivers us from our sin!  Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can persist in prayer, making our requests known to God!

We then learned a song to help remind us of the story.

Second free choice

Isabella hung up her creation on our new creation board!

Writing labels for our lego creations.

During small groups we practiced balancing.

We also practiced writing letters in rice independently.  There were letters written on mittens for inspiration.

With me, the friends rolled a dice, subitized the amount shown, and then jumped the same amount of times.
