Even though it was a rainy day outside, we had a great day in Pre-K!

The friends worked together to complete the community floor puzzle.

Many of the friends used paper plates to create masks in the creation station!  Great creative thinking skills!

Collaboration in the blocks

Gym time!

During small group time, the friends worked with me to draw a map from their house to school.  They added things they see on the way to school.  The friends are learning how to create representations of things that they have seen.  They are also engaging in foundational geographical concepts.

Independently, the friends made a plan, created, or explored the maps in the blocks.

As we made our map of Avon yesterday, many of the friends drew stop signs.  We discussed other signs that we see on the road.  Today, with Mrs. Zwettler, the friends made various signs that they see on the road.  They researched how the signs look on the lap top to help them know how to create them.

During Jesus time we learned that Jesus was a little boy who grew up to die on the cross and save us from our sins.  When he was a little boy, he never made a bad choice.  We talked about how we make bad choices sometimes, but Jesus forgives us!

Second free choice

During second small group time the friends practiced letter formation with Mrs. Lipsey.

Independently, the friends worked on puzzles.  They used cooperation and collaboration to complete the puzzles.

With me, the friends practiced recognizing letters and their sounds.
