Morning free choice

Doug was our library volunteer this morning.  He 

Before gym time, we had the opportunity to practice what we do when we enter the gym as many of our friends forgot.  We remembered that we go straight to the circle and have a seat for warm ups.  After we practiced and warmed up, we did some freeze dancing. 

Then we played with the hula hoops! 

During small group time, we made rocks for a collaborative art piece for National Lutheran School's Week.

With me, the friends used a map that Pastor Matt drew of our classroom (Thank you Pastor Matt!) to find a hidden item.  Then, the friends used the map from the classroom to draw a path for their friends to follow.  We worked on following the path.  

In the blocks, the friends explored the blocks and maps. 

During Jesus time we reviewed the story of Jesus teaching in the temple when He was 12. We remembered that Jesus never made a bad choice.  Because of His death and resurrection, we are saved! 

During second free choice Nora and Kennedy worked hard to sort some new art supplies for our classroom! 

Many of the friends continued to use the classroom maps to draw paths for each other to follow.  

During second small group time the friends read big books. 

We also practiced letter formation with Mrs. Lipsey. 

With me, the friends continued to explore the maps.  I worked with the friends one on one with some formal assessments.
