Tuesday, October 6

This morning we reviewed the story of Joseph.  We remembered that no matter what happens and no matter how we feel, Jesus is always with us!  He will never leave us or forsake us!

We enjoyed a chilly morning on the playground.

We then moved to the hill.

Our friends have been talking a lot about being in a band and pumpkins.  We voted to see what we would investigate next!

We compared the graph and noticed that pumpkins had more votes!  We will still do some music / band activities / experiences over the coming weeks, but it looks like our main investigation will be about pumpkins!

Our friends are learning to work together.  We provide time for them to apply the social skills that they have learned in their play.

Making signs for the celebration on Friday!

Some of the friends created their own game today!  One friend hid an item while the others closed their eyes.  Then, one of the friends would go look for it! They took turns, applied the rules to the game, and worked together!

After lunch the friends read some books outside before heading to the outdoor classroom.  They took turns reading to each other.  One of the friends chose to read a bible to the friends and said,  "Okay friends.  Who is always with us?  That's right! Jesus!"

Making a drum set in the outdoor classroom

The friends love to read the words in the outdoor classroom!

The drum set became more elaborate when some fiends worked together!

We then went on a lead walk to find some leaves.  Many of the friends compared the crinkly wings to our butterfly with crinkly wings.

We discussed as a large group and then in small groups about our leaves.

Look how our friends help each other!
