Happy Monday!
This morning we began our day by thanking God for making us!
We then went outside!
During Jesus time we learned the story of Joseph. We learned that no matter the bad things that happened to Joseph God was with Him!
We sang "Jesus says I'm with you" to remind ourselves of that fact.
After snack we made a list of things that we need to do before our celebration on Friday. Making a check list together and checking off items as they are done helps the friends think through what needs to be done and follow through with doing it. This increases executive functioning skills!
We began working on one of the items on our list - making a Welcome Sign!
Some friends practiced cutting with Mrs. Dieckamp.
Our friends worked together to elaborate on their creations in the block center.
After lunch we went to the outdoor classroom.
One of the friends worked to make a drum set.
The other friends used the pots and pans to make music too!
