It is so great to be back with our friends!

This morning during Jesus time we acted out the story of Jesus blessing the children.

Thank you Mrs. Zwettler for being our guest reader today!

Outside time

Everyday experiences are opportunities to learn!  While outside, the friends found some ice in the shade.  We wondered why there was no ice in the sunny parts of the playground?  We then moved the ice to the sun to see what would happen.

"The sun is hot, so it is melting the ice!"

We moved to the shady part of the playground to observe the frost in the mulch and compare it to the mulch in the sun without frost.

Free choice time

"I am writing labels for the classroom."

Second outside time

During small group time we played a game that increases our understanding that numbers can be composed and decomposed in equations under five.  We hid some of the cars, and the friends used the clues of the cars left on the carpet to guess how many cars were hidden.

We then sang some rhyming songs!
