Welcome back to another great week of school!

Our interest in pumpkins is waning, so we are moving onto music!  This morning we explored a few instruments, asked questions, and observed the instruments.

We also read this funny book that has many rhyming words.

The friends loved singing and dancing on the platforms today.

Back in the classroom we read another funny book full of rhyming words!

We then engaged in rhythm practice with some rhythm sticks.

The friends wanted to make a band in the dramatic play, so we moved the pumpkins to the outdoor classroom.

"We need a 'ductor!"

"What's a 'ductor?"

"No it's called a conductor.  It's the guy that has the stick and tells them when to play the music."

After a while exploring our instruments, we took a tour of a few instruments we have here at Our Shepherd!

We observed the drum set.  Some of the friends want to make a drum set in our classroom!

We checked out the music stands.  The friends asked if we could use one for the conductor.

"We should make a microphone for our band!"

"When we do, can we take this one?  That way we know how to make it."
