We are excited for another great week at school!

As the weather turns cooler, please have your child practice putting his / her winter gear independently at home a few times throughout the week.

We found ice on the hill!

Back in the classroom, we read the letters and words on our alphabet chart.

We also learned a game that increases one to one correspondence, counting, and number recognition.  We use the ten frame to help us visually think in base ten.

The writing center was full of friends making cards and writing books!

Friends also chose to work in the blocks.

The band / music room was full of singing and music!

The friends used good junk to create their own instruments.

This week we are learning about the Ten Commandments.  Our verse for the week comes from Deuteronomy 6:5, "Love the Lord your God." We are learning that often we sin and do what we want rather than what God knows is best for us.  God sent His Son, Jesus, to forgive us, taking away the guilt of our sin by dying on the cross.  Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can live as content, obedient children of God and trust that His rules are for our own good.
