Today we are excited to welcome a new friend to our class!  We are so glad that you are here! 

The friends were so excited to find ice on the playground this morning! 

"There is ice on the playground!" 

"How come the water on the grass isn't frozen?" 

During small group time we continued to work to create igloos. 

"It looks curved on the top, so we need to be sure the top has a curve." 

"Can I have a turn with that block when you are done?"

We read some books too!  

We also practiced letter recognition and making words!

After small group time we took a moment to discuss what we learned during small group time.  We discussed what worked, what didn't work, and what we are going to do to fix it next time.  We also talked about what was frustrating to us while we were working.  This is called metacognition.  Learn more about metacognition here.

We continued to learn about how we can love others because Jesus loves us so much!  Jesus died on the cross and rose again to save us from our sins!  He is our Savior!
