Mr. Kyle Borcherding led our chapel this morning.  He shared with us that God always forgives us!  He sent Jesus to die on the cross and rise again to take our sins upon Him.  He remembers our sins no more!  Because God forgives us, we can forgive one another!

Library time with our chapel buddies

As we took off our shoes to put on our boots before outside time, the friends noticed that many friends had pink socks!  We capitalized on this interest to count how many friend shave pink socks and how many friends don't have pink socks.  We discussed that just like God made us all differently, it is okay if we have different socks.

I forgot my phone inside, so I was unable to take pictures of our ice explorations outside.  The friends were interested in the ice in the outdoor classroom!

"There is ice, but I see water under the ice!"

"If you hit it with the spoon, it will break."

"Use the spoon handle.  It works better."

"This spoon is frozen in the ice!  If I try to take it out, the spoon is bending!"

Free choice time

During free choice time we had opportunities to practice positive conflict resolution skills. We also had opportunities to practice how to handle big emotions.  Both of these skills are tricky even for adults!

"We are making an igloo.  This one has no curve.  We are building it tall."

"Who is taller?  Can you reach the top?"
