This morning in chapel, Mr. Borcherding played a game of Guess Who with Pastor Lepley.  Mr. Borcherding shared with us that in the game, you have to use clues to figure out who the other person's character is.  the Bible gives us "clues" about Jesus too! In Isaiah 9:6, the Bible tells us, "He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

We are so thankful that Jesus was born so that He could die and rise again to save us!

Exploring maps provides an opportunity to incorporate vocabulary including maps, turns, right, left, location, directions, dangerous, etc.

"  See the sign here?  That means this road is dangerous."

Fixing the cars

"Excuse me ma'am.  My car needs to be fixed."

Some of the friends decided we could serve coffee in the waiting area.  We worked to sound out the letters in the word coffee.

Coffee available!  Only $5!

Exploring ramps

"Would you like blueberries or green beans?"

Some of the friends made money for the coffee that is served in the waiting area.

Gym time!

During small group time we practiced rhyming.

We practiced counting, one to one correspondence, and number recognition as we worked to put beads on the pip cleaners.

We explored with the geoboards.

We practiced recognizing letters and their sounds with the word puzzles.  We also switched the beginning sounds of the words to be silly!  (This strengthens phonemic awareness skills.)
